Invisalign Pro not Invisalign Go

Ace Braces are specialists in ceramic clear braces.

We can provide your dream smile.

Invisalign involves wearing a practically invisible set of clear braces (aligners) provided by a specialist orthodontist in Tullamore, Ireland or in Portlaoise. They are custom molded to fit you which are changed every 2 weeks to move your teeth gently into the required position. Almost no one can tell you are wearing Invisalign. They are easy to wear, comfortable and virtually invisible clear braces so you can get your teeth straightened without friends realizing you are wearing braces.

We are also part of a specialist group of orthodontists who specialize in Invisalign called Invisible Orthodontic Specialists (IOSI.ie). No matter how good an appliance is, it depends on the skill and experience of the operator, like a learner driver and a racing car-skill and experience are needed. Specialist Orthodontists are dentists who did a further 3 years training in orthodontics only, after the five year dental degree and who then practice only orthodontics and update with regular courses to maintain expertise.

It is extremely comfortable and popular with our patients. Invisible braces are wire free so no one knows you are wearing braces. They are also removeable for that special occasion. Adults love them.

Invisalign cannot treat all malocclusions but has become very powerful. Dr O Regan is our clear braces expert with PLATINUM ELITE designation. We are an Award winning practice in providing clear braces and Invisalign aligners in Ireland.

Please do not clean invisalign invisible braces with toothpaste as it is too abrasive and scratches the aligners so the invisible braces can get cloudy.

If you are interested, please call us today for a complimentary consultation, so we can assess whether Invisalign is suitable for you and give you details of our flexible payment plan.

Almost Invisible Braces

The aligners are pretty invisible even with the white attachments. You can smile confidently without braces being obvious. They are removable for eating and drinking so it is easy to keep your teeth clean. They are more comfortable compared to traditional braces and you can see the planned result when you view the computerised simulation at the clincheck appointment at the start of treatment. They are very popular due to the appearance and are so comfortable to wear.

Who can wear Invisalign braces?

They are suitable for adults and teenagers. A high level of co-operation is needed, e.g. be disciplined to put the retainers back in again after meals. For eating and drinking you need to take them out unless you are drinking water. Speech is not normally affected although you may have a slight lisp at the very start. We advise you to talk so your mouth gets used to the new appliance.

Removable Braces

With the Invisalign you simply changer your aligners every 2 weeks and see the orthodontist approximately every 8-12 weeks. The aligners gradually move your teeth into position. As long as the aligners fit the teeth are moving successfully. If you do not wear the aligners then you will find they will not fit and you need to see your orthodontist immediately to rectify the situation. The aligners need to be worn for 22 hours a day, taken out for brushing and cleaning.

Meet Kathriona - An Invisalign Patient at Ace Braces

Kathriona's thoughts

I decided to have the Invisalign as oposed to the traditional braces because of my professional career, I would have a lot of meetings and I didn't want to have traditional braces.

Why I choose them was because I was going into my 30's and  I noticed that my bottom teeth had started to crowd quit a bit and my top teeth had started to move.

Elma's thoughts

Kevin and his team are fantastic and so friendly, caring and always have a smile when you come in the door. I'm a beautician with my own business and I I was concerned that you could see my braces. Wearing Invisalign was so easy, the retainers are clear and in general no one even knew I had braces on.
I really couldn't be happier with my teeth and my new smile. I feel so confident and I'm so thankful to Ace Braces.

GOT A QUESTION ABOUT INVISALIGN?

We have answered some of the questions we get asked the most about the Invisalign braces but if you have a question that you woudld like to ask us please give us a call or send us a message on our contact page

What is Invisalign®?

Invisalign is the virtually invisible way to straighten your teeth and achieve the smile you've always dreamed of. Using our advanced 3D computer-imaging technology, we can create your complete treatment plan starting with your initial teeth position right through to the final position you would like your teeth to site in. We then make a series of clear aligners for your teeth to move them a little bit at a time. Each Invisalign aligner is worn for roughly two weeks before being replaced by the next one in your treatment plan. Your teeth will gradually move towards your desired final position. Your Invisalign treatment time will be set out once we have a chat to you and determine your treatment plan.

What are the benefits of Invisalign?

Invisalign aligners are almost invisible and they can fit seamlesslyinto your lifestyle. Invisalign are removable aligners which give you the flexibility to eat and drink whatever you like during treatment by easily removing the aligners. You can also remove the Invisalign aligners when brushing and flossing like you normally would to maintain good oral hygiene.

Unlike traditional fixed braces, Invisalign does not have metal brackets or wires which means less time is spent at appointments for adjustments with Ace Braces.

Invisalign allows you to view your virtual results and treatment plan before you even start your treatment so you can see how your teeth are expected to look when your treatment is complete.

What are aligners made of and what do they look like?

The clear aligners are made of strong medical grade thermoplastic material, uniquely developed for the Invisalign System. The aligners fit snugly over your teeth because we custom make them specially for you.

Is the Invisalign treatment painful?

For some people, they may experience minor discomfort for a few days at the start of each new phase of treatment when they insert a new aligner. This is normal and has been described as a feeling of pressure. this is good as it's a sign that the aligners are working and your teeth are slowly moving. This discomfort typically goes away in a couple of days.

Can Invisalign close gaps?

Yes. Spaces between your teeth are generally easy to close with Invisalign. We can best determine what type of braces is suitable for you at your initial consultation with Kevin.

Once Invisalign treatment is complete is a retainer necessary?

Wearing a retainer after any orthodontic treatment is an important step, because it keeps teeth stable in their new positions. If you want your teeth to remain in their ideal position, it is best to wear a retainer as directed by Ace Braces. In many cases your last aligner will be your temporary retainer, until your retention option is determined. We can chat to you about your longer term retention options nearer the end of your treatment plan.

Since having my braces removed, my teeth have shifted. Can Invisalign correct this?

A number of Invisalign patients have undergone a previous treatment involving braces at some point in their past, often during their youth. Invisalign can usually correct the shifting that occurs after braces commonly referred to as relapse. Come along and have a chat to us for an initial consultation and we can see what type of braces would best suit your teeth.

Are there restrictions on what I can eat while in treatment?

No! You can eat whatever you want during your Invisalign. You can simply remove your aligners to eat and drink. There is no need to miss out on any of your favourite foods or snacks. It is very important that you brush and floss your teeth after each meal and prior to re-inserting your aligners to maintain proper hygiene but we can fill you in on this when you call in to see us.

How often must the aligners be worn?

Your aligners should be worn all the time during treatment, except when eating, brushing or flossing teeth.

Will the aligners affect speech?

Most of our patients do not have their speech effected. However, as with traditional orthodontic appliances, there is an initial adjustment period while you get used to having the new aligners in your mouth.

What's the best way to clean my aligners?

Brushing is the best way to clean your aligners followed by rinsing them in lukewarm water and using the Invisalign Cleaning Crystals or special cleaning tablets. It’s important that you brush your teeth after each meal and prior to re-inserting your aligners to maintain proper dental hygiene.
